Souldburned Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 I mean, some persons say that i´m with eating disorters, but that is not true at all, I believe. When I wake up at morning I eat an Apple, sometimes an yogurt. Nothing more, at the middle of the moring I sometimes eat another apple. At lunch I eat meat or fish only with vegetables, I dont eat anything during the evening. At dinner I eat the same that at lunch. I don´t drink juices and I don´t eat food with carbon hidrates. Is that bad for the muscles? I have been training an hour ago, about two hours of training, when I came home I only ate a bit of meat and an apple, nothing more. Is that all that bad?
senna_trem Posted February 11, 2005 Posted February 11, 2005 If you're not losing any weight then you should be okay... one day count the amount of calories you eat. The ideal is to be between 1200 and 1600 I believe. You should be getting around that many calories in a day as well as getting fruits, vegetables, meats, grains, and dairy products. CloudDragon Posted February 11, 2005 Posted February 11, 2005 I would like to help, but more information would be nice. How old are you? Sex? Height? Weight? How often do you work out? What is your Job? Have you lost alot of weight recently? Depending on what you are doing and your fitness goals, you will need protien and carbs for muscle development and energy. Just from reading your post, it seems that you might want to include more whole grains and cereals, but more information would help. Feel free to PM me if you wish. krzychicano Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 I think you are okay most girls tend to eat less than males anyways. If you feel fine and are not feeling dizzy or anything like that during the day or feeling without energy then you should be okay. Hudson Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 1200 to 1600 calories seems a little low, isn't the normal reccomended amount 2000? Sounds like you're skimping out on breakfast, which, on a whole is never really a great idea, for any reason. Avoiding carbohydrates seems to be all the rage, but you shouldn't be hurting yourself if you take in good carbs in the morning, some good whole grains (Don't eat white bread!). By the way, apples and yogurt do contain carbohydrates, and you're eating them, so carbs aren't exactly killing you, are they? Anything you do athletic or as cardio is going to increase the amount of calories you're allowed to take in (Which doesn't mean you could eat McDonalds and run a mile, because the quality of the food always matters) As a general rule, in the morning, let yourself wake up (Don't eat first thing), meditate, run, stretch, shower, groom, whatever, then eat a big enough breakfast to give you the energy you need to start your day correctly. Oatmeal, eggs, whole-grain toast, all good things to take in during the morning. Lunch can be a fair tossup between carbs and protein, making sure you get your veggies. Dinner should contain the least amount of carbs, something like grilled chicken or some tuna. Don't eat fried foods, don't eat foods high in saturated fats, don't eat lots of sugar and processed junk. If you can't pronounce half of the ingredients, you probably could do without it.
