aefibird Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 What sort of punch fist position does your style use? "Was it really worth it? Only time and death may ever tell..." The Beautiful South - The Rose of My CologneSheffield Steelers!
P.A.L Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 We use Vertical for rib.... , corkscrew and 3/4 for body, then there are some others that you don't have time to hear.
1kickKO Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 We use 3/4 punch so that the wrist bone won't break and is straight on impact.
iolair Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 My "personal" style ... vertical for a jab, horizontal for a cross Currently: Kickboxing and variants.Previously: Karate (Seido, Shotokan, Seidokan), Ju Jitsu, Judo, Aikido, Fencing.
delli04 Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 we use both vertical and our horizontal is a corkscrew...
CloudDragon Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 Wow, not what I thought I would see, maybe the world sees the need for the 3/4 turn! A Black Belt is just a white belt that don't know when to quit!
italian_guy Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 In karate we use horizontal, In TCC a mixture of both vertical and horizontal.Never used the 3/4.
Shorinryu Sensei Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 We use them all. My nightly prayer..."Please, just let me win that PowerBall Jackpot just once. I'll prove to you that it won't change me!"
Nick_UKWC Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 What's a 3/4 turn punch? "...or maybe you are carrying a large vicious dog in your pocket." -Scottnshelly
1kickKO Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 Hold out your hand like a straight punch...now turn it just a little bit to your right, liek you're turning a door-knob. Stop at about3/4...that's a 3/4 punch.
