Sorry to be asking so many questions but....

How does one fall asleep? Sounds like a stupid question but I can't fall asleep in the timezone I live in. I'm fine in Japan and was fine in Europe but in California I cannot fall asleep until eleven at earliest. ANYTHING would be appreciated.

Could it be the climate or the sea level affecting you? Hmm...

You could try sleep-inducing herbal teas, breathing/relaxation techniques, working out or running during the day, waking up really early to make yourself tired for nighttime, warm milk before bed, reading before bed, watching boring shows, etc.

Hope this helps! :D

you may be one of those people that just don't sleep much. I am one too. I am up until about 3am, then go to sleep, and wake up at 7:30 to get ready for work. most people can't live on 4.5 hours of sleep, but it's normal for me.

Or, you may be suffering from insomnia. Ask your doc about insomnia and treatments.

I have had this problem many times. It relates to your internal clock.

For me there has been only one solution and that is to change that internal clock.

I made myself stay up all night and all day and trained like hell to wear myself out.

By 10pm I was had it and fell asleep. I woke up at about 6.30am and by 10pm that night I was tired again.

You have to suffer alittle but it can be done

Also take a look at your nightly routine. See if any of the things you do would increase your energy, and when you go to bed are you reliving the events of the day or thinking about what you have to do in the morning or the next day. Try exercising earlier in the evening, and before bed find a good book and read a while, and you can try a simple mindfullness meditation to help you go to sleep. Good luck.
