Phantasmatic Posted May 13, 2002 Posted May 13, 2002 ...old people.....(oh great, im going to get crap from that one!) "Which one is more foolish, the fool or the fool who follows him?" - Obi Wan Kenobi
rabid hamster Posted May 13, 2002 Posted May 13, 2002 I'm 13 but often I hear those clicking sounds in my joints and my knees hurt often. Should I take it and where can you get it? It is only with the heart that one can see clearly, for the most essential things are invisible to the eye.
ZR440 Posted May 14, 2002 Posted May 14, 2002 I've been on it for the past three months and seem to feel better after workouts. Recovery time is quicker. I don't know if it will cure the clicking aspect. Weight training might be better suited for that kind of problem. It's happy hour somewhere in the world.
Bitseach Posted May 14, 2002 Posted May 14, 2002 Ta muchly for the advice, folkies! I actually have a box of this stuff at home but also got out of the habit because it didn't seem to be doing anything. My joints have always popped a bit, even as a youth so I am well used to it, but I would like to ward off any potential problems in the future with MA (esp shotokan karate!) and gym training! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~My karma will run over your dogma~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
shotochem Posted May 14, 2002 Author Posted May 14, 2002 Hi Guys, Ive been taking it for a few months now. It has made a significant difference with me personally. I loosen up alot easier and my flexibility has improved. I can kick a foot higher than before I started taking it. My clicking is a lot less than before. I have also started to stretch more as well. So far there are no negative effects. Maybe its the stretching ???? Pain is only temporary, the memory of that pain lasts a lifetime.
Bitseach Posted May 27, 2002 Posted May 27, 2002 I have now started taking GS daily along with a cod liver oil capsule, and can report so far a niggling knee-pain has reduced significantly. Personally, I don't care if it's just a placebo effect or is really helping my cartilage thickness but it hurts less when I bend it. Think I'll keep taking the snake-oil now! Cheers folks! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~My karma will run over your dogma~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
rabid hamster Posted May 27, 2002 Posted May 27, 2002 Eww.. GS is snake oil??? It is only with the heart that one can see clearly, for the most essential things are invisible to the eye.
jiu-jitsu fighter Posted February 9, 2003 Posted February 9, 2003 im actually feeling strain on my knees and shoulders also ,im goin to pick up a bottle tomorrow and see for myself if it works "When we go to the ground, you are in my world, the ground is the ocean, I am the shark, and most people don't even know how to swim"
ZR440 Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 Don't expect any miracles. I've heard from some credible sources in the health profession that it doesn't work for everyone. But it's worth a shot. Sometimes rest is the best cure. It's happy hour somewhere in the world.
