fangshi Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Anyone have any experience with disk herniation ? Have been on the shelf for a few months now & still very little progress. MRI says L4-5 disk herniation with compression and displacement of S1 nerve. Is there any sort of exercize or technique that can be used to help? I am almost out of ideas. Thanks for the input ! shinnekodo Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 Well, I can certainly sympathize with you, my L5 disc is herniated, compressing on to my S1 nerve pathway, so says the MRI.
fangshi Posted March 20, 2006 Author Posted March 20, 2006 Sorry to hear that . I know how it feels . I actually had surgery to repair it . It is fixable . Physio helps some people , made mine worse so had surgery than did the physio . But have NO fear there is a light at the end of the tunnel . Stay plugged in to your doctor and physio therapist and stay positive . Light streching helped relieve some of the pressure on the nerve when I was injured . Good luck .
