GhostlySykanRyu Posted January 20, 2005 Posted January 20, 2005 Don't go overboard on meal replacements or protein shakes...nothing is better than REAL food. When I do use them I take the Met-RX Extreme Chocolate high protein meal replacement powder. With the milk theres a good 70g of protein in it, and it's pretty tasty if you mix it enough (shaken not stirred). The consistancy takes getting used to though, like with most powders. Milk is great if you can keep up with the carbs...I prefer cow to soy...2 more grams of protein per serving, and doesn't taste like elephant dung To condemn the art of another is to condemn your own as well. fangshi Posted January 20, 2005 Posted January 20, 2005 Would all those Protein shakes be good for a 14, 15 year old boy trying to get into good shape? If i had one for breakfast, then before bed? Protien supplements are better used as supplements not meal replacements . You need proper food nutrition . Low fat , whole grain is better. Protien supplements are better used in between meals and for after work outs. We are not so much individual beings as individual points of perception within one immense being.
Taku-Shimazu Posted January 20, 2005 Posted January 20, 2005 Don't go overboard on meal replacements or protein shakes...nothing is better than REAL food. I agree with that part of what you said and then you went on to say about taking all kinds of powder and etc. I never eat anything except real food, Chinese food. The cool summer breeze passes me by.
Cmon Posted January 20, 2005 Author Posted January 20, 2005 Well this shake i have i am using to give me added vitimans protein and other stuff i would normally miss out on. Im still eating my other meals just having a tasty strawberry flavoured shake inbetween.
GhostlySykanRyu Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 Cmon-that sounds fine, just don't go overboard. Taku-Shimazu, I recomended that supplement for someone who wants to gain a lot and fast. I try to eat real food, I might take in one or two replacements a week for the sake of convenience. And if you're going to go with supplements, you'd might as well go with the best out there. To condemn the art of another is to condemn your own as well. We all have the same origin.
KUNTA KINTE Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 Cytosport muscle milk(its a protien shake). It is usually around $50. The right to keep and bear Arms.
