I was hurt once before I was knocked out, but DON'T WORRRY because the pain I felt was from a cracked rib. I had to fight with a cracked rib, but one hit from the other guy and lights out.

I got knocked out twice on the streets (once by a guy who was talking nice to me and suddenly punched me and once by a guy who hit me from behind)........didn't feel a thing.......like turning off a light switch.

When I knock someone out they say it only hurts after they wake up.

I was lucky...the first guy who knocked me out stopped after hitting me once. the second guy who hit me from behind ran away after hitting me so their attacks were not continuous so even though it hurt when I woke up, it wasn't that bad at all.

I have witnessed others get knocked out on the street and the assaulters continued to kick their KOed victim and I'm sure that they hurt a great deal more. In fact, one of them was taken away in an ambulance and was still in dreamland.

Don't worry about getting knocked out because it ruins focus, or so sensei tells me and I always listen to him. Focus on defending yourself so that you don't get knocked out, but don't actually think about getting knocked out. Does that make sense?
