Exponential Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 To anyone who's been physically knocked out in the ring/cage: What does it feel like? I don't meen the ref saying that you can't intelligently defend yourself. WHat's it like to get absolutely knocked out? Northren Ogre Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 I got knocked out playing hockey. I took a slap shot to the head. It went like this.....bright flash....dizzy.....wake up in locker room under shower.....still dizzy... http://prkickboxing.tripod.com
Mr. Mike Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 it doesn;t feel like anything till you wake up...then the head throbs and you have to run the tongue over the teeth to make sure they are sill there. Hudson Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 Yeah, usually it happens pretty quickly, as in one moment you see the object about to hit you (In my case, I didn't, because it was behind me) and the next, you're slowly coming to your senses, your head hurts, and in my case, your hearing and sight may act funny for a minute or two until you come to. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about? It was like my sight and hearing were on the fritz - for lack of a better description. The game of chess is much like a swordfight; you must think before you move.
delta1 Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 Feels different most times. Sometimes, the lights just go out and you don't remember the hit. Sometimes, you feel it, but it doesn't really hurt 'till a few seconds after you come to. Sometimes, you get a vague feeling of starting to go down, then you wake up in a heap. Others, you sort of know you're going down, but aren't really aware what it means, or what's really going on- it's sort of hard to explain. Try it- it's fun! Freedom isn't free!
soccerghost Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 When i got knocked out when i woke up i wasn't really very sure of where i was, it took a few minutes to remember what had happened I reject your reality and substitute my ownTime is a valuable thingWatch it fly by as the pendulum swings

steveb Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 I got knocked out playing raquetball once. Took a line drive right to the base of the skull. From my point of view one second I was crouched and ready to make a return shot, the next I was lying on the concrete looking up at my buddy. Didn't hurt at all, just turned my lights out for a second like flipping a switch off and on. Completed the game no problem. Res firma, mitescere nescit
fangshi Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 - it's sort of hard to explain. Try it- it's fun!I think you explained it perfectly. As for the fun part I am not too sure. We are not so much individual beings as individual points of perception within one immense being.
