Where do you guys train?

 

I find training in a forest more efficient. What about you?

Forest eh? Well, I live in a urban center. No access to the woods for me.

Dojo. More equiptment, safer enveironment.

Most efficient? Somewhere with mirrors and a teacher (Like a gwoon) so I can get proper critique.

I voted for the Dojo. The environment, equipment and willing training partners allows for focused and efficent training.

I say dojo for the already mentioned reasons, but when I practice solo, I go out to hte pier here and use the end which is a 30'x30' slab of concrete surrounded by water. The effect of the slow waves and solitude just cannot be explained. There is no way I'm stressed after a workout like this.

I agree entirely, there is a stream in the forest near my home and also the 'river Wye',(if you look it up near hereford you can see my home.

 

Anyway back to the point training alone offers many benefits, especially with water near.(Something to do with Chi).

I would have to pick the dojo, for all the reasons listed above, safer, more equipment, have expert advice, other karateka willing to learn and to help out.
