battousai16
though i would do both, if i could only do one or the other for whatever reason, i would run. running works a lot of the larger muscle groups in your legs (quads, hamstrings) and your core (abs, back). jumping rope works your calves, and allows you to be a bit more explosive. if for whatever reason you couldn't jump rope, you could get around that by doing a few sets of hundred meter sprints or jumping onto a crate and back down again... only really fast... don't know if i explained that to well.... at any rate, i think running is a bit better. Ever since the military, I've hated to run, but I was pretty fast. Thanks again. KG It's better to be judged by 12, than carried by 6.

Red J
Well, you guys know I'm going to say running. I'm averaging about 12-15 miles a week since I ran the half-marathon in November. I had to lose my mind to come to my senses.
Hudson
Running. Sprinting, jogging, walking, running - mix it up. The game of chess is much like a swordfight; you must think before you move.
Jerry
Running is a good way to train. I enjoy it. I also cycle to build leg strength. I find jumping rope to help with my concentration as well, because I always try new ways of doing it. And I think that it might be a good thing, seeing that one needs to focus in MA. Hawkeye
I'd say the one you prefer to do. There's a better chance you will keep doing the one you like to do. Doing both wouldn't hurt, though.
