...kinda odd....

 

i tend to watch the space between my hands in guard and him/her.

 

so um, i don't really watch them

 

but

 

rather the space that i'm supposed to be defending.

post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are.

Interesting topic I have heard that in fedual times the japanese samurai would not focus on any one thing but try to keep their mind unfettered. The idea was if you were confronted by ten swords and stopped to counter each one the other nine would get you, however if you acted without letting your mind stop on anyone person or thing, you would be able to defeat all ten. So in regards to the question posed look nowhere and be everywhere.

We are taught not to focus on a specific body part but rather try and look at a larger perspective.

 

Sort of "looking at the tree in the distance"

Imagination is more important than knowledge.

I see you have been reading Takuan Soho- The Unfettered Mind. If not give it a read it is along those lines of thinking. (or NOT thinking :P )

Close shotochem I have been reading the latest biography of Musahai in which many excerpts for the unfettered mind appear but it is defintely on my next book list.
