Jack Posted January 15, 2002 Posted January 15, 2002 I'm getting kind of worried here.. It all started on New Years Eve when I helped myself to some Pringles, and for the first time in my life, I didn't find them gorgeously tasty or addictive. I was utterly distraught! I'd normally find Pringles divine and I wouldn't be able to stop myself from going back for more. And now, I'm finding myself less and less attracted to unhealthy foods. I think because I care so much about my health, my subconscious has tricked me into not liking many unhealthy foods now. When I'm not thinking, I always seem to head for the lean meat and vegetables than a packet of crisps. Think this is part of growing up, or just my subconscious tricking me? SBN Doug Posted January 15, 2002 Posted January 15, 2002 Yeah I know what you mean. I've been having this nagging voice in the back of my head telling me how bad that kind of food is, and how good for you food is just as tasty. What I usually do is.... turn around and tell my wife to "QUIT NAGGING ME, I DON'T EAT THAT MUCH OF IT!!!!!! :kaioken: O.k., tell me you married guys and gals didn't see that one coming. SaiFightsMS Posted January 17, 2002 Posted January 17, 2002 At one point in time I was eating healthy and not eating junk. Then I got really sick and to make up for me not keeping anything in they started dumping sugar in my tea. Guess what? My sweet tooth woke up. And now it refuses to go back to sleep.
KickChick Posted January 17, 2002 Posted January 17, 2002 Have you ever noticed or even paid attention as to what your body craves? Sounds silly but your body knows what it wants ... sometimes its good and sometimes bad. There are times (very few mind you ) when I crave a salad or fruit or a tall glass of milk ... I would take this to mean that my body is lacking in these vitamins and I need to replenish them ASAP. Pay attention to your cravings, they obviously mean something. When you overload your system with too much junk ... it crashes (kinda like my computer does!! )
Piastre Posted January 17, 2002 Posted January 17, 2002 I've always found that my appetite is perfectly attuned to my motivation! In other words, when I'm fit and training hard and regularly I naturally eat well and in moderation (also exercise is a great appetite suppressor). When my motivation is low and I'm not training so hard, or I'm injured, my diet becomes woeful!
Kickbutt Posted January 17, 2002 Posted January 17, 2002 I pretty much eat what I want...love chocolate!!! Yummmmmyyy...and will never give it up!! I think that if you eat sweets in moderation then there should be no problem, however I've been known to make my way through an entire box of Oreo cookies before..heh..but all in all I generally eat well, my mama raised me right! kicker Posted January 17, 2002 Posted January 17, 2002 well I know that the junk food which isn't really junk but anyways as long as you don't have to much of junk food I think you would be fine (my opionon) (if you exercise or do something active ) then I would agree to that when you do your best it`s going to show.
