Shane
Thats to bad, good luck on your search for a new school. Its very hard to get people in the doors these days, I mean everyone is getting a little lazy out there and you really have to get out and pull them into your school just to keep it going. A True Martial Arts Instructor is more of a guide than anything, on your way to developing the warrior within yourself!!!!!
scottnshelly
Similar thing happened to me. Less than two weeks before my brown belt test, went in and there was a sign on the door. I attended - and passed - the test as it was at another dojo. It was one of those large joint tests with a couple other schools in the area. Only seen that instructor once since then, he didn't recognize me because it was about 4 years later and i had grown up a lot since. In my case, it worked out better for me. I found a much better school that i went very far with. Hope the same is true with you.
HumanTyphoon
Sorry about what happened Akira. Even though the school is closed, doesn't mean you can't learn anything from your Sensei anymore. Maybe someday everything will work out and your Sensei can re-open. Until then, good luck on your training and finding a school. If you take a crooked path and have to go through a cliff. gojuchad
yeah that reallly sucks so you didnt hear form the sensei before they colsed and you trained with there for 7 years? seems like he would respect you enough to talk to you one on one. Oh well good luck in finding another goju school I also train goju hence the name and i really like it so I hope you find a good school. Draw close to god, and god will draw close to you. pineapple
My former instructor (Taekwondo) was collecting dues all the way up to when he dissappeared. The word was that he was running from the IRS. I found a better school anyway and so will you! What works works
