MMA-B28
Yesterday, I got my head ran over by a street cleaner. I was laying out on the sidewalk enjoying the sun, unfortunately my head was laying on the street. Because I'm deaf from getting shot in both ears with hunting tipped arrows I wasn't able to hear it coming.. Ok just kidding.. However I did get kicked in the scitic nerve almost 3 weeks ago and my knee section is still in pain which has limited me to upper body workouts as well. Pullups/chinups are also great. I'm just glad I still have my sense of humor. B28 Crew

senna_trem
What some people do (with weak bones, I think) is just to sit in a regular chair and tense, but don't move your calf muscles and hold the contraction for 10 seconds. And then your quads, gluts, abdominals, etc. untill you have done most muscles in your body. I use this when I have to be the passenger in the car for long periods of time. It keeps me from getting really edgy. "I think therefore I am" Rene Descartes

aes
He aes, It must be an old guy thing. I broke the 2 middle toes on my good leg and just taped them up. Maybe its because we are always hurting in one way or another. Oh, to be 18 again...... Well I have had my share of injuries and yes likely due to my age. So far two broken toes, a snapped tendon in my neck and a broken rib. I did not really take any time off training for any of these injuries. Ok the neck one I took a week off and as I said I took it down a notch and the rib I am off sparring for a while. However, that being said, you need to look at the type of injury and decide if you are going to make it worse by training. Broken toes are very common and in many cases you can figures ways to work around them. (as I see you have posted about) My ribs were a bit difficult. I have a hard time slowing down the moves in class and did hurt it again when twisting etc, but nothing very serious. I discussed the risks of each injury with my doctor and senseis and worked out a way to not take time off. 43 Years oldBlue Belt (7th Kyu) Shorin-ryuRoberts Karate
