Kaminari Posted December 21, 2004 Posted December 21, 2004 I like the blandness in tofu as well, but I rarely am able to get it. Eggs, milk, meat, cheese, peanuts/peanut butter (the natural, non-sugared kind), other nuts, protein shakes, etc. etc.
Nick_UKWC Posted December 22, 2004 Posted December 22, 2004 You make these shakes in a blender or something? Can anyone point me a website where I could havea look at what my dailt calorie intake might be? I'm 6'1 and I've been 10st 4 forever, need to gain some weight! Luckykboxer Posted December 23, 2004 Posted December 23, 2004 hrmm this is a topic that could go on for pages. My advice truely is to see a nutritionist/trainer and pay for some face time and grill him on it. it really is that complex depending on your goals. Basically you have short term fast absorbing proteins and long term slow absorbing proteins. Its definitely beneficial to make sure you get both, Do you use any protein shakes? or are you taking all your protein through whole foods? You might want to look at supplementing BTW to the Isopure guy.... how do you handle that stuff? It tastes decent going down, but 1 second later it feels like my tongue is wrapped in a chalk straight jacket
VinnieDaChin Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 yea im glad you mentioned that lucky- a lot of people dont know that whey protein, for instance, is in and out of your bloodstream in about an hour- so a lot of it goes unused (though i imagine its good to take right before a workout.) the rule of thumb to always fall back on though- the natural food source of whatever youre trying to get almost always the best.
