Randy Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 Ok so heres what happened... Earlier today during our warmup we were doing those pushups where you push yourself up, clap your hands togethor and (hopefully) land back on your hands. Anyways we did 10 of em and on Ju i decided to be tricky and clap my hands twice. Unfortunatly the extra clap meant i didnt have enough time to get my arms back in place to safely lower my body down to the hard wooden surface. CRACK - I hit the floor pretty hard straight on my chin. Didn't seem to be any damage until i rubbed it and noticed all the blood, went and checked it out, nasty little split. I ended up going to hospital to have it checked out and got 2 stiches. I feel like such a *****. Would have been cool if i got kicked in the head by a blackbelt or somthin - but pushups?? sheesh Anyhow I send out a challenge to all you out there to perform a double clap pushups, and dont forget to videotape and send it to me so i can laugh at you when you bust your chin up, or bite the end of your tounge off or whatever.
Radok Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 my record is three, and I landed about a centimeter from busting my nose. If you can't laugh at yourself, there's no point. No point in what, you might ask? there's just no point. Many people seem to take Karate to get a Black Belt, rather than getting a Black Belt to learn Karate.
VinnieDaChin Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 i used to do double claps when i was benching 225 back in the day...
TheDevilAside Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 Hm, those are hard. I'll stick with just one clap for now. "If you're going through hell, keep going." - Sir Winston Churchill
MenteReligieuse Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 I just tried after reading the thread, I can do 2. I'm real light though.
Flying Tiger Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 my fat * can't even get one, much less two or three. The greatest clarity is profound silence.
tommarker Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 I've done triples before. I think it's more a matter of the lost Chinese art of Tai Ming than anything else. I'm no longer posting here. Adios.
ncole_91 Posted December 3, 2004 Posted December 3, 2004 I can't even do one, not for a while, maybe in a couple months lol. Good luck with your chin, and next time try it on a mat, so you dont bust your chin (as bad).
