Hi, could really use some help.

My 7 yr old son has started Karate (kempo shaolin). I have done lots of aerobic kick boxing and have a list of his schools required moves for his next belt.

I want to practice with him but don't know the moves. I'm learning but slowly.

It there some websites that describes the moves ?

Thanks in advance.

While your intentions are obviously to HELP your child (which is a good thing), practicing the wrong techniques, or the right ones incorrectly will only set his/her training back......try to arrainge a private lesson with the instructor so you can get a "hands on" feel for whats going on in the class....then you will be properly equiped to provide the help that will benefit your childs progress.

Ill second MJ here. If you try to teach your kid, no matter how good your intentions obviously are you will basically be an unqualified instructor.. :)

Talk to his class instructor.

Our instuctor has a question for those parents that want to coach their kids, "So when are you signing up for classes?"

My son and I are the same rank and are in the same classes most of the time and I restrain myself from coaching him. That is between him and his teachers.
