Kamikaze Kaiten Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 First off, I would like to say hello to the board members here. I recently started training Karate again after a looooong break. I was doing some Karate research on the net and stumbled across this board. I must say this forum kicks *! My martial arts experience began with Judo but was later taught Aikido and Kenpo by my uncle. Before my move to CA, I've studied Shito-ryu Karate with IKF back in Hawaii for 10 years. Think I'll be cruising this board quite often. Oss, Barry https://www.kamikazekaiten.com

CapitalKarate Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 welcome to kf, what style karate do you study? Joshua Brehm-When you're not practicing remember this; someone, somewhere, is practicing, and when you meet them, they will beat you.
Kamikaze Kaiten Posted November 23, 2004 Author Posted November 23, 2004 CapitalKarate, Studied Shito-ryu for over 10 years but recently been training with my boss who's background is in Shotokan. I find the two styles very similar. I guess it's because Funakoshi and Mabuni was taught by the same teacher. https://www.kamikazekaiten.com
