Light headed, upset stomach...

Hey everyone, I have a question for anyone who reads this. In my gym class, we are in the weight room (we did a cradio workout. Like 40 sec of skipping, shadow boxing, bench press, puch ups, leg extensions and all in light weight, lots of repetitions, then 20 secs of rest, then 40 secs of work and on and on) and today I pushed myself really hard, and after I cooled down and everything,(this is my 3rd day) I felt extremely dizzy, light headed, upset stomach like I was going to throw up and yes I was drinking LOTS of water. Can anyone tell me why this happened or how ot stop it becuase I am going to do this again tomoorow and I will have ot push myself even harder to improve.

Just flicking thru' the web site while on a break at work, so the post is way later than the original question.

I would say you are pushing to hard, you need to build up your anerobic conditioning for work outs like these, you can't just jump in, and expect no reaction from your body.

I know you must train hard to improve, but crank up the intensity gradually, over a couple of month's.

If you push the body hard and get good rest /recovery your body will get stronger and your conditioning will improve, push it to hard to soon ,and don't rest properly, your body will break down, and you will make your self ill.

As for the water thing, make sure you are well hydrated up to an hour or so before your workout, but don't drink gallons of water just prior to, or during the workout.

Taking sip's during the workout, and then gradually consuming a litre or so after the workout, will aid recovery.

Jumping about with a belly full of water would make any one sick.

The dizzyness could be through not breathing correctly, ie pressure build due to holding your breath during exercise.

If you really worried seee your doctor, and have soom tests.
