searcher
Main style: Chito-ryu. Don't confuse Shorei-kan and Shorei-ryu(whether Trias' style, Higaonna style, or Aragaki style), they are different. "let those who shed blood with me be forever known as my brother." CapitalKarate
i have no idea who our grandmasters are, so far my sensei hasn't gotten into any kind of teaching of such history (perhaps due to the fact that i'm still only a 10 kyu (yellow w/o stripe). but for katas, the ones i know about are in order from white belt up... kihon ippon, kihon nihan, kihon sanbon, fukyu dai ichi, fukyu dai ni, fukyu dai san, fukyu no kata. so far thats all i know about. i know we do the pinan katas, and some other kata name starting with an h. i'll do some research to see if i can recognize what those katas are. CapitalKarate
thanks PAL, one thing about it though... my sensei teaches us to kick above the belt, and only above the belt, is that how you're supposed to kick? italian_guy
Hi, I was expecting more shotokan and more kyokushin-kai people. I also learnt of many styles I didn't know the existence.

aefibird
My club is Shotokan...although in practice there's a 'bit of everything' in there. There's a big JuJitsu, Judo and Okinawan influence on how we train. "Was it really worth it? Only time and death may ever tell..." The Beautiful South - The Rose of My CologneSheffield Steelers!
