Sridhar Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 is good build of body is required to go for intense practice and also to threathen our opponent in kumite event my build ht: 5'10.5"; wt: 72kg; chest: 40.5" : is this build is enough or more height is required? pls suggest!
Rich67 Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 Although size can be intimidating, it is not the deciding factor in a fight or kumite. The deciding factors are technique, execution of technique, and DRIVE. If you have the right mentality, you can intimidate your opponent just by the sheer power of your technique and determination. I've knocked around guys much bigger than me only because I refuse to lose to them. If they can't match my intensity, then I'll put a hurting on them before they have a chance to get mad. So don't worry about how big you are, just gain confidence, be good at what you do, and look mean! Mixed Martial Artist
WhiteBelt Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 No I think you should add a good foot and a half before you look mean...
Hudson Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 Yeah... and get some pointy teeth too. And make your eyebrows like this ---> Intimidation comes from confidence. For example, showing up in a shirt that says "Numero Uno" will help with that. The game of chess is much like a swordfight; you must think before you move.
