Randy Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 Buddy...you have a whacko for an instructor! What do pushups and martial arts expertise have to do with each other? I don't think its very nice to call his instructor whacko. Is there something wrong with wanting to have fit strong students? Fitness is a big part of martial arts isn't it? At our gradings we also have to meet a fitness requirement - although i have to admit 225 pushups is pretty crazy for a green belt. In our style for green belt it is 50 pushups + 50 situps. Its not until we are grading for atleast Shodan Ho that we do anything over 150.
Sridhar Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 hi buddy u need an intense practice for doing 225 pushups i suggested u to start practice before 2 or 3 weeks of ur belt test week 1 u do 10 set 20 pushups for 7 days with 1 min rest for deep breathing don't forget to do deep breath atlest 2 or 3 times in rest time do pushups quiet slowly if u do fast it will make some pain in shoulder. week 2 and 3 do 12 set 20 pushups same 1 min rest and deep breath when u do atleast above 225 u will make 225 at that time of belt test remember to laydown relaxily by freeing all parts of body by lying down in a windy fresh air place don't bench any wt on our back
