Beiner Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 Im not really looking for anything martial artsd related, just a good mindless read. I enjoy books like the callahan series, the belgarid series, and I also enjoyed harry potter. I read a lot but those series in paticular stood out from the rest. So if anyone has suggestions of fantasy fluff books please post them up here, thanx in advance Beiner
GrrrArg Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 Try Dan Brown out as an author, I just read his books. Really good.
foreveryoung001 Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 I enjoyed the "Dragon Lance" series when I was younger. Student: "Why did you hit that guy with a chair? Why didn't you use your karate?"Master: "Hitting him with a chair was the only karate I could think of at the time."Lesson: Practice until you don't have to think.
ncole_91 Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 Anyone know any good novels with Martial Arts subject in it?
HumanTyphoon Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 the belgarid series Hey those are one of my favorite book series, have you read the Mallorean series as well? If you take a crooked path and have to go through a cliff. Either hope there is a bridge, or learn to fly.
Beiner Posted October 24, 2004 Author Posted October 24, 2004 rings a bell, but I dn't recall reading them. I think I started the first one after I finished the belgarid series. If I do recall correctly they draw on alot of the same plot points.
Beiner Posted October 24, 2004 Author Posted October 24, 2004 Basically a farm boy who dosnt know his family. This farm adopts him, and eventually this stranger comes and takes him away, and he develops into a powerful wizard, finds out about who he is, and who he is predestined to be. thats without giving away any plot points. Bloody amazing series.
HumanTyphoon Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 The series also give off essences and qualities that, we, humans all have, with a lot of humor and irony in it too, it really is good if you have not read it yet. There are 5 books in the series. If you take a crooked path and have to go through a cliff. Either hope there is a bridge, or learn to fly.
Beiner Posted October 24, 2004 Author Posted October 24, 2004 7!!!! Polgara and belegarth's versions of it.
