Coco
Here is my whole work out for the week. I want your opinions, that is, if it is too much for me or too little, or maybe just right. Keep in mind im 14 years old, weight 148 and have been doing martial arts for a little over a year. Monday/Wednesday/Friday/Saturday = Workout consists of 1 1/2 hours of karate, 125 situps, 25-40 squats (working on it), 40 pushups, and weight lifting a loose, 30 pound weight, 35 times on each arm. Tuesday/Thursday consists of the same thing except there is no karate and I usually push my self slightly harder. Thanks for reading my post! Beiner
Well seeing how psyiologically not fully developed yet, it is not healthy for you to be working out so much. 6 days a week shows a lot of commitment, but remember your growing aswell. Id say if you want to work out go low weights high reps, and cut back on the amount you do it.

Red J
I say you are fine, but you may want to do all your strength training 3 days a week to allow for recovery. You could do 3 sets of every exercise. You may also want to add in some cardiovascular training in there as well. Just my .02. I had to lose my mind to come to my senses. Coco
Do you think that I should train in less amounts every day, or more amounts 3-4 days a week? By the way, this amount of reps has been reached over the course of time, I used to weight 170 and not able to do 1 pushup. GrayGhost
only do it 2 to 3 times a week. Like Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. You seem to be overtraining. "I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain." ~Frank Herbert, Dune
Hudson
You could try it for yourself, you'd know if you're overtraining, you'll be all sorts of sore and have headaches and other symptoms that will let you know to back off and get a week of rest. The game of chess is much like a swordfight; you must think before you move.
Coco
After the 125 situps, the pushups, weights, squats and karate lessons, im never sore the next day, if you were to ask me, id say im not training hard enough. But you should stick with the three sets idea. You don't need anything more because you are 14 and don't want to push it too hard. Good luck. I had to lose my mind to come to my senses.
