Topic Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 The $200 stretching machines, r they relly good? Does it work? Im thinking of gettign one because i want to desperately do a split haha. Im only 18 so i know i can do it, and when my back is against the wall and my legs are spread apart i only have 1 foot from each leg to the wall more to go, and i doubt i can stretch my self everytday like this because its really tight that i either need a parter to help me out or a maching, and i cant have a parter every night to help me out, so im asking is it worth spending this much on the stretchin mashine?
foreveryoung001 Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 It's a little difficult to answer the question of worth. It really comes down to what you feel about it. Now, I have heard mixed reviews on the machines. I have never actually used one, so I can't give you to much feedback. Are you able to use the machine before you purchase it? I think you would want to make sure that the machine is going to be comfortable enough to use regularly. Check for ease of use, like how easy it to work in to the stretch, and more importantly, in my opinion, is how easy is it to realese the machine quickly if you feel that you have pushed yourself to far? Be very aware of what your body is telling you as yu do use these type of machines. You do not want to over-stretch, and do damage to your muscles that could take long periods of time to heal. Student: "Why did you hit that guy with a chair? Why didn't you use your karate?"Master: "Hitting him with a chair was the only karate I could think of at the time."Lesson: Practice until you don't have to think.
Shane Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 I myself wouldnt spend that kind of money on a split machine. But I"m not to big on being able to do the full splits, so if thats your goal and you have the cash go for it. ncole_91 Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 If your only a foot away and you are going to spend 200$, thats alot of money. Can you ise it for other parts of your body, maybe get a couple friends to pitch in and you can all use it.....
Topic Posted October 12, 2004 Author Posted October 12, 2004 Im the only one from my age that does this and takes it seriously but i can ask one of my buddies form TKD that train with me, thanks for the idea that would help out alot.
ncole_91 Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 np, yeah, I was looking at some of the machines are they are really cool, but for now I will stick to the old way...
