The Saint Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Good sport, I'd rather see Kick boxing than (WTF) olympic TKD in the olympics, I think of it as a cross between boxing (awesome hand skills) and the powerkicks of wtf TKD. Very good for distances, angle fighting and it is just overall cool to watch. "Pain is the best instructor, but no one wants to go to his class." Choi, Hong Hi ITF Founder
italian_guy Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 I have to agree with The Saint about the fact that Kickboxing is cooler to watch then olympic TKD. As far as self-defence issues I know several bouncers that actively use kickboxing skills in their jobs. One of those is my former instructor the other is a former kickboxing middleweight regional champion.
