Maddwraph
for lifting weights and doing crunches. me for example, lift thumbells 20 pounds 15 times, then takea break on that by doing 30 crunches, 15 leg lifts, bak exercises, and then take a little over 5 minutes and repeat this 2 more time. my question is will my mucles not develop fast if i take to long of a break between these? like if i lift the thumbells and then wait like 10 minutes? thanks. WhiteBelt
It sounds like you are in serious need of some lifting info. Unfortunately I don't have the time (packing it in here at the office so I can go home). Quick answer to the question at hand. If you wait under a minute you're letting your body recover a little. If you wait between one and three minutes you've let your body recover plenty. If you wait more than that you're letting your CNS recover.
GhostlySykanRyu
Maybe I too can offer some advice...but first off, what are you trying to accomplish? Stamina? Size and weight? Trying to get shredded? There are different weight lifting techniques for every result. And if I can't answer any questions, pick up a few issues of Muscle and Fitness magazine...you'll find everything there. To condemn the art of another is to condemn your own as well. We all have the same origin.
Maddwraph
well, i do capoiera so i have to be fast, adn strong, wat i am doing, is that bad? and i guess mostly i want to look kind of ripped like in the abs and arms, that would be pretty cool. is letting my body wait over a minute not going to help me get to that? thanks. WhiteBelt
Any sort of lifting routine will facilitate the ripped look (it builds muscle). However the key to looking ripped is diet not exercise. You want to lower your BF% as much as is healthy/possible.
