Little Dragon
those are cramps. It happens when u move your foot the wrong way causing the string connected to the calve to strain. Maddwraph
i dont know if this will help, but its a stretch for the calf. wat u do is u keep both of ur feet on the ground with the heal touching as well. then u just put ur hands on the ground and keep ur legs straight. the further u move ur hands from ur legs, the better i think. Im brasilian, but live in the united states. Really enjoying martial arts.
CloudDragon
What has happened is called "lactic acidosis". Basically, you have used all of the glycogen stores in your muscles and have begun depleting the muscles of potassium that keep the muscles from cramping. My advice is to keep well hydrated, a sports drink before or during class will help. Also, stretching before and after class will help. It isn't a problem unless it doesn't stop within an hour or so after working out. A Black Belt is just a white belt that don't know when to quit! Rich67
Up your potassium intake as well. Having a banana before the workout can prevent cramping. Drink fluids and stretch thoroughly. That will keep cramping to a minimum. Mixed Martial Artist
