I have been working out for 1.5 months and I have notice improvment.

For the first 2 weeks I did 20 sit ups

Then for 3 weeks I did 25 sit up

For the next 3 weeks I did 25 sit ups and 15 push ups

For the next 3 weeks I did 35 sit ups and 20 push ups

And for the last 3 days I have been doing 50 sit ups , 25 push ups , a series of stretches , 5 minute horse stances , knuckle holds and some flexing.

I dont want to do sit ups anymore, there ineffective and i just learn they can cause serious problems, please suggest a workout(or more) wich would be suited to me.I would greatly apreciate it.(:

crunches and leg lifts. if you can, v-ups. why not go running? lift some weights if you want more muscle.

I also dont want to be "hunky", Iwant to be toned.(I prefer speed over strength)

A good way to improve strength without bulking the muscle is to do the exercise quickly and for a sustained period of time. example would be moving only maybe 3 inches while doing your push ups, but doing 200 of them.

That isn't necessarily good, because you would gain strength only along that 3 inch range of movement...What you are suggesting is basically doing 200 crappy pushups...no offense, but that is what you are saying.

I gave a bad example and emphasised the wrong point, moving three inches in a push up does nothing. but shortening the push up a little bit and doing them faster would be effective at keeping the muscle from bulking but keep it strong.

For some reason a weight training routine based on the opposite just came to mind, doing as much weight as possible for 3 sets with only 4 to 6 reps. If you can't do 4 you decrease the weight, if you can do 6 you increase it.
