Rotten Head Fok
I know I am boring in that I like it quiet when I train. I like to hear my breathing, my heart beat, and no distrations so I can focus better on my form. The way I look at it there is time for all things and listening to music to motivate myself can be done at other times. I can find motivation in rest after a good workout when my next session in the feeling of stronger, more difined, techniques. I have a variety of specific songs that I enjoy listening to for motivation, while I do not prefer to listen while I train. You must be stable and balanced in your foot work, if you have to use your martial knowledge in combat, your intent should be to win. If you do strike, you must release great power! Rich_2k3
Queen! U cant beat "Another one bites the dust" while working out. I also like to listen to "stairway to heaven" by Led Zepplin. Ironberg
I usually go with silence - but for those grueling heavy bag workouts that are primarily cardio, I go with techno/trance. Stuff like the harder tracks by trance[]control, or Members of Mayday, or misc. mixes and remixes of various DJs. aefibird
I prefer to have no music on when practicing, but if I'm doing a primarily heavy bag workout then I might stick a CD on, usually metal or punk. Eg Rancid, Metallica, Megadeth, Queen, Pennywise. "Was it really worth it? Only time and death may ever tell..." The Beautiful South - The Rose of My CologneSheffield Steelers! Drago02129
I usually listen to bands like Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Iced Earth, etc while I work out. Though occasionally, I'll listen to The Doors.
Vito
whatever crap, or ocasionally good stuff, is playing in the gym. to motivate myself i just talk to myself in my head. when lifting i dont need any inspiration, when running i just think cmon lets do this *, push through, etc etc dumb stuff like that. if i have a choice, like using the heavy bag, any hardrock radio station is good background. TheDevilAside
Pretty much what I listen to normally.. Red Hot Chili Peppers, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Offspring, and Nirvana. But what really gets me going is seeing guys that are stronger than me, lol. I guess I'm pretty competitive.
