SaiFightsMS Posted December 23, 2001 Posted December 23, 2001 Ad in the meantime there are some body weight exercises you can do that are really great for strenght. You probably allready know about squat kicks. Try high rep hindu squats. Sink down into a low duck squat with your back straight. Lean forward on the balls of your feet to maintain balance. Then stand up. Do hight reps and you will notice something.
SBN Doug Posted December 27, 2001 Posted December 27, 2001 Give this a try. First, make sure you keep your kick between knee and waist heigh, not higher. Next, in your attack stance, extend your arms out to each side. Twist you upper body in the opposite direction of where you intend to spin (this helps you build a little extra torque). Now, use your arms to help sling you into your spin, and stay on the ball of your foot as previously stated. Keep your arms out through the entire spin, and work on spinning fast enough to make your finger tips tingle. Only do 5 to 10 before either switching you stance, or taking a break. As you get better, slowly work the extended arms out of the equation, followed by eliminating the wind up. Kuk Sool Won - 4th danEvil triumphs when good men do nothing.
ramcalgary Posted December 27, 2001 Posted December 27, 2001 Make sure that you look for the target... Honor is the most important thing a man has once you lose it it is gone forever
spinninggumby Posted March 4, 2002 Posted March 4, 2002 That's a very good point. Turn your head and the body should follow. One of those things that works well for some reason LOL When spinning, if your head doesn't turn then everything is slowed down and hampered. And like Ram Calgary said your eyes should always face the target as soon as possible. Obviously where your eyes go, your head will go too (hopefully! ).
