Hi first time here, I study a Shaolin System Called Dung Sai Do, we do conditioning in class were we smack our arms against each other kick each others shins and so on, I have been asking around and I gather that there are many ways of conditioing the arms and the shins, anyone got any advice on how I could condition them? and if rubbing oil, dit da jow and so on actually helps?

Scond question how would I heal quicker bruises, aches and so on without using aany chinese medicine, or tablets, massages?, eating the right foods? drinking the right stuff?

Thanks.

I am surprised that you do Kung Fu and your instructor doesn't have you using jow, that is the fastest way to heal bruises. Aside from that, a way to speed the process is by getting in the shower, and alternating hot and cold on the damaged area. Put it as hot as you can reasonably stand it, followed by as cold as you can stand it. This alternates the capillaries from dialated to constricted, and helps move out the stagnant blood.

If you can't laugh at yourself, there's no point. No point in what, you might ask? there's just no point.

Many people seem to take Karate to get a Black Belt, rather than getting a Black Belt to learn Karate.

I've had several instructors recommend jao as well (not surprising as Radok takes the same system I do...)

Arnica cream can be good for bruising. Try juice/oil of Aloe Vera if it is an open wound.

Taking a good general vitamin and mineral supplement every day could also help you.
