The more you practice the better your "reflexes" will become. Try and find the best fighters you can and practice with them 2 or 3 times a week...start out at 10 or 20% speed and then work your way up to around 80%. What you are referencing here is not reflexes.....it is timing. That only comes with practicing with people faster than you. I used to drive 100 miles one way to workout with such people.

Whenever you get home have your butler suddenly attack you to keep your reflexes sharp. That and pick fights with old ladies on the street... damn those old women.

reflexes can also be thought of as conditioned responses....the more you practise a movment the quicker it will become...and remember that 'practise' can be mental or physical

also our reaction time is made up of 2 components

the time it takes for yours eyes and optic nerve to relay the image to you brain

and

the time it takes for your brain to stimulate the correct muscles to move

we can do much about improving the first componet but the second can definately be altered wiht quality training...use the 6'S's of athletic preparation as you guide

strength

speed

skill

stamina

supplenes

spirit

Just a little one for hand eye reflexes:

(1) Shave a bouncy ball so that it is not rounded anymore and has unequal sides

(2) Throw it at a wall so that it bounces before hitting the wall

(3) Try and strike it with any move as it bounces back at a weird angle

To progress this throw it harder or throw it straight at the wall instead of bouncing it first

(This is an old Goalie trick over here in England)
