dtstiachi
I agree greenbelt_girl15.As a Christian (now in seminary studying to be a pastor) I get asked the question alot by my legalistic seminarian friends about CHI/KI and "energy" and how can I do that and be a Christian. I do sometimes focus on scripture I have memorized or use my time of Standing Meditation to talk to the Heavenly Father through prayer. It's a great way to forget about how much pain I am in while practicing Zhan Zhuang. Please feel free to talk to me further on this. "The journey of a 1,000 miles starts with but a single step." markusan
Meditation to me is looking for the truth, seeing things as they really are, not colored by my baggage. I am not a "chiristian" as such but my reading of the new testament is that it's message is very similar to that aim.To get rid of the baggage you first have to recognise it (know thyself). Eliminating much of the baggage is a process of forgiveness I think. Once you let the baggage go it's much easier to relax and hear and feel the things you couldn't hear and feel before because of the background noise. fangshi
Does anyone have a junk drawer ? You know the one where everything just gets thrown in . It is always full and you can never find what you need. And then one day you decide to clean it . Throw away the useless stuff and organize and prioritize the rest . All of a sudden you are finding the things you have been looking for as well as finding more room for other new things . It is easier to open and there is better access to the things that I need .Well , if you haven't guessed it by now the junk drawer is my mind and meditation is the organizing and prioritizing of it . We are not so much individual beings as individual points of perception within one immense being.
