Joecooke007 Posted December 3, 2001 Posted December 3, 2001 Do you have a special spot or time when you can meditate the most or with the most peace? Boards don't hit back. -Bruce Lee
Karateka Posted December 3, 2001 Posted December 3, 2001 When everyone else is talking. I find that when I am eating lunch by myself sometimes in school, the cafeteria is bubbling. Then, I practice shutting it all out, and trying to see more then I could before. "Never hit a man while he's down; kick him, its easier"Sensei Ron Bagley (My Sensei)
SaiFightsMS Posted December 4, 2001 Posted December 4, 2001 I find I most consistently practice an autogenic relaxation and visualization at bedtime.
moobrack Posted December 4, 2001 Posted December 4, 2001 bedtime isn't a very good one for me.If I was going to meditate in school, that would be better, cos in bed your body rests and shutsdown anywa.where as in school, you are fully active and there is a more busy environment, if you can meditate in schoool and achieve peace of mind, you can do the same anywhere Anthony Bullock1st Dan Black Belt - Shotokan Karate5th Kyu Yellow Belt - Aiki-Jutsuhttps://www.universaldojo.com Coming Soon
Jack Posted December 4, 2001 Posted December 4, 2001 I tried dropping into full lotus and meditating in school once while everyone was talking. The noise seemed to leave, probably because everybody stopped talking and stared at me. It was the effect I desired JackCurrently 'off' from formal MA trainingKarateForums.com

SaiFightsMS Posted December 5, 2001 Posted December 5, 2001 Actually when I am working visualization techiniques I have a mental sanctuary I visit. My first one was a hayloft. A hayloft is a very serene place. My second haven was a desert oasis. After spending time in the Mohave desert and Twentynine palms I will never forget the sounds and the feelings of the quiet desert.
