Taijiquan is a martial art and if full of combat applications. Chen style is the "ancestor" of Yang style and all the other styles of taijiquan. Chen and Yang styles both have strikes and qinna applications. Visit https://www.chenzhonghua.com for more information on the Chen style.

Chen and Yang style Tai Chi Chuan

This is hard but I think the YOGA student could take them. Maybe a Vinyasa style that links poses in a flowing series that would warm and energize the body.

Yeah the yoga student

Just kidding/not trying to offend anyone out there.

I have never studied any Tai Chi Chuan, but It was interesting reading the posts here.

Both have practical martial applicatins. I Practice Yang style, but I have seen some Chen stylist I wouldn't want to mess with. Me, I'm in favor of the Yang style because that is what I know. My grandaster at the school is a master of 5 differnent styles, and he chooses to teach us Yang Style and he teaches us the combat applications of EVERY movement/posture in the form. Hope this helps.
