Anyways, I just need someone to answer one question: Is it safe to be jogging in about 20 - 30 degrees celsuis below? I have heard that it could freeze your lungs or something like that. You could quite easily tear muscles or ligaments running in that temperature - you need to be warm to exercise, otherwise theres an increased risk of injury. So if its that cold, you'll almost definitely damage something. Any gyms open near you? If so, you could use a Treadmill, rowing machine, or exercise bike. Kickbutt Posted December 7, 2001 Posted December 7, 2001 Sorry Prodigy...wasn't trying to rub anyone's face in it lol - just the opposite, I think snow is WAY better than rain in the winter cause the moisture goes right through you...but I do like the temperate climate here I have to admit and I don't do 30 below too well either cause I have low blood pressure and am always cold. taezee Posted December 11, 2001 Posted December 11, 2001 im enjoying an icredible "winter" here in new york..ive been running and doing forms on the beach..in shorts!!! its been incredibly warm here and its almost christmas..its so peaceful having the beach to myself and listening to the waves crashing in...if only i had a certain someone there with me it would be perfect..the leg workout you get practicing in the sand is incredible..as for when it starts to snow here..ill be indoors under my sheets..
