Beka
I totally forgot about it, but it was about a wek or so ago. I know I've been feeling bad lately because I had to take a lot of time off from karate class (like, once a week, twice if i'm lucky) for school and things. It's getting better now though. Anyway. I started taking a Tai Chi class at a REALLY ghetto place. The instructor didn't even show me how to do the stuff. I just had to follow along with the rest of the class. They were all really sweaty, and the isntructor hardly paid any attention to me. When I went outside, someone had stolen my bag. I had gone there after my normal class, and I was trying to keep it a secret from my sensei. Somehow, the instructor knew my sensei and kept threatening to tell. It was horrible. I felt so bad. And that's all I remember. why do I have dreams about MA!?!?!?!?!!? I'm so very weird.
Fenris-wolf
Hmm. About all I can do is reassure you - I have lots of dreams about MA in general, and while my boy was training really hard apparently he dreamed about fighting/training every night! DLopez
Beka, perhaps it's something in your diet... did you eat spicy Mexican food that night? (I was gonna ask how many Margaritas you had too, but... ) I think one thing's obvious, you really enjoy your martial arts training. Maybe your mind is just taking what you find really pleasurable, and trying to ease some of your other preoccupations and worries by mixing them together in your dreams? Anyhow, the only thing I would worry about is whether you woke up refreshed from a good nights sleep. DeanDahn Boh Nim - Black-Brown BeltKuk Sool Won"Dream as if you'll live forever. Beka
well I *do* eat a lot of spicy Mexican food... I stick hot sauce and cayenne and pepper flakes and salsa and jalepenos in EVERYTHING. I make soup for the sole purpose of putting Dave's Ultimate Insanity Sauce in it. I mix jalepenos in my salad. and my eggs. and my quesadillas. and my sandwiches... *sigh* I haven't been sleeping well lately But I think yeah, you're probably right. I'm just mixing it in take make other things show up right. Or something. That and I feel bad because I may have to move soon...

So you're not the craziest.... Maybe Concur! Although I'm not that crazy, yet, I've had dreams where I've been beaten down by enourmous gangs, been asked to do countless clapping pushups on an incline, kick the crap out of street pursuers, and the like. aefibird
I make soup for the sole purpose of putting Dave's Ultimate Insanity Sauce in it. Beka... what on earth is Dave's Ultimate Insanity Sauce?? It sounds like my kind of food! lol I shouldn't worry too much about the dreams. People tend to dream about the stuff that's happening a lot in their lives or dream about stuff they enjoy. You clearly enjoy your MA training, so it naturally comes out in your dreams. "Was it really worth it? Only time and death may ever tell..." Beka
It is the BEST ever... http://www.davesgourmet.com/ There are several varieties. The insanity and ultimate insanity have warning labels on the side saying they aren't for people with respiratory problems and such. When I went to Sweden last year I was so disappointed because there *garlic* is spicy. I went a few weeks without spice, then I couldn't handle it anymore. I got on a train and went to Stockholm (I was in another city called Uppsala) and I found an American food store near the Palace. I found some Blair's After Death Sauce, which had NOTHING on the Dave's. Totally weak in comparison. Be careful when you first use it. I mean it. It can seriously mess your stomach up (I've noticed my tongue is a lot stronger than my tummy), and if you get it in your eyes, you'll want to die. I have a really embarassing story about this stuff, but I don't think it's entirely board-appropriate. this stuff will mess you up, but MAN is it great. monkeygirl
I've always likened spicy foods to pain, and am the only one in my family who can't stand the stuff. I'm a glutton for punishment when it comes to MA, but spicy foods.. EEEEEEKKK!!! Anyway, about your dream... Perhaps you're afraid that in this "off time" from your regular MA school, you will settle for a crummy school that fits into your schedule, JUST so you can get that "fix" of training. Deep down, though, you know you settled and didn't get your instructor's consent to cross-train, so you feel like you're "cheating" on your home dojo. This could of course be applied to other things...basically anything you're sacrificing in order to fit school and stuff into your schedule. 1st dan & Asst. aefibird
Wow, that stuff sounds great Beka! I looooove spicy food so much, I try to make all my food spicy in some way. Nando's Piri-Piri extra hot sauce is pretty good stuff, as is lots and lots of fresh chillis! *drool* "Was it really worth it? Only time and death may ever tell..."
