The problem is, I do jiu-jitsu. If you yell at any point, your sparring partner will probably think something just snapped.

Oh, and delta1: *applause*

I like to hit with one sledgehammer blow to the sound of "Seiii!", then throw a barrage of strikes along with a long "Daaaaaa!" LOL.

You have to be careful, in MT you just breath out fast and keep your mouth shut, Breathing out developes some extra power but the real point is so that your body is empty and tight should it recieve a stinging counter attack.

On the subject of war cry, anything that leavs your mouth open whilst doing it is bad news. Taking a punch on the jaw when you mouth is open is game over in most cases. On a more serious note, you really have to keep your mouth shut if your interested in self defence as well. Its really dangerous to attack with an open mouth.

Most cries can be done through clenched teeth, except perhaps "Woooooooaaaaaa!" or something similar.

Yes thats true but whether or not people do this is another matter.

In my Tae Kwon Do we have a weird kihap almost like saying arrossoo, something like that but I think that kihap could be my personal battle cry.
