TheDevilAside
*sniff* ..score!!! I got a blue belt! Off-topic, sorry. Anyway, yes, I believe in (my definition of) true love. Can't say that I've already found it, though. We'll see "If you're going through hell, keep going." - Sir Winston Churchill
Ironberg
In a word: yes. Will everyone find it: no! ramymensa
I've had only 2 BF's before. I liked them and thought I loved them Still I was able to go pass the loss without even a tear and felt quite good for having no burden at all (still there were serious relations ... 3 years and a half with the first and 2 years and a half with the second one.) It ended because I wouldn't marry them. I didn't feel I was ready and honestly I didn't see myself growing older beside them. They had some flaws in my mind, but still I thought they were OK. For almost 2 years I'm with another man. He's older than me (11 years) and now I know what love means. I REALLY care for him, feel like in heaven whenever I look at him or touch him. He never said something unpleasant and I wouldn't imagine doing something like that to him. We never had a fight (we're not the kind) and I wait for him to ask so I can say I do Though I ended everything quite easily with my previous BFs (we're still friends) I couldn't imagine something similar with him. I guess I'll be needing some specialized help to deal with it. Anyway let's leave that aside. I'll enjoy my love and be happy it's mutual World Shotokan Karate
John G
What is true love? Love is a cruel trick nature plays on us so we can propagate the species. Words like infatuation, companionship and lust should be used instead of love. Think of it this way; take a good look at some crusty old wrinklies (people 35+ y/o ) who aren’t related to you (for those living in Tasmania ). Now ask yourself if you find this person attractive, could you find yourself in true love with an old mothball smelling, weather-beaten person. 20 years ago I would have been horrified to think that I would be sharing a bed with a granny (Thinking about it, the better half probably never thought she would be sharing a bed with an old fart like me.). The thought of sharing a bed with a great granny in 20 – 30 years time, has me checking out the 70+ talent down at the old folk’s retirement village and making me wonder if it’s too late to become a celibate monk. The only true love is found within, love life and those around you. John G Jarrett III Dan, ITF Taekwon-Do

aefibird
I don't believe in true love, but then again I'm just a tired old cynic. "Was it really worth it? Only time and death may ever tell..." Ironberg
I'm starting to become a tired old cynic as well. In my mind, true love exists - it's just a rare gem that few ever find or understand.
