Building a freestanding punch bag frame, help!

Just to give u some idea, I have a 20kilo (44 pounds) punch/kick bag and its 5ft high. I have bag chains and a decent steel frame. However, my garage is full of crap (half of it needs to go!) so I cant put it in there for the moment and theres nowhere else in my house that I would like it to go. My backgarden is huge and ive got loads of trees, but non of them are really suitable for my frame. Basically what I would like is either some instuctions on how to build a free standing frame (wood) or websites that have some detailed instructions or advice on doing this, remember take into account the bag weight cuz I dont want to get crushed by falling debris when I hit it :P .

I could really do with some help, cuz my punch bag has been sitting in my garage for months, i've never got round to doing anything about it.

Thx in advance.

(this last one is probably the cheapest one out there, and is the best put together)

I don't know about making a frame out of wood. The reason is, you'd need a lot of wood to make it stable enough to allow the bag to rock around, and it could possibly tip if you don't make it correctly.

I'd say save your money and contact Century Martial arts supply and order it directly from them. It'll last you longer, be more stable, and looks nicer.
