ESA-Shotokan
Hi there. When I am not in the dojo, I am in the gym either running or on the weight machines / free weights. One pair of useful exercises are the Hip abductor and Hip adductor. If you are not familar with these machines - you sit in them and either push in or outwards against pads on cross-arms. Most people associate these machines as "girly" exercises but they are very good for strengthening your sweeping and round-house kicking mucles. Karateka
I am the only guy in my grade who can use the one at our school. It is so far apart that no one is flexible enough to use them. Actually squats and deadlifts would strengthen all of your kicks much more, as your quadriceps are really what drive a roundhouse kick. lol
