Squawman
Don't take this as racist or anything but the people that can do the most push ups in a row without stopping have always been Mexican. Its amazing, they can do like 80 - 100 without stopping.

Its amazing, they can do like 80 - 100 without stopping. erm.. I watched a guy break the world record for the most press ups in a minute last year (unofficially). He wasn't mexican!! I can do over 100 without stopping, couldn't do that in a minute tho. I define a pressup as: bending your arms 90 degrees at the elbows in the down position to locking your arms out in the top position. For my style, taekwondo you have to accumalate an extra 10pressups for each of the 10 gradings to blackbelt. Hence to get a blackbelt you must be able to do 100 pressups! stl_karateka
In the military we have to go past 90 degrees A spotter lays on the ground and puts there fist on the ground --- your sternum has to touch there fist --- otherwise they say "doesn't count" yowsers KarateForums.com Sempai

Midnight_kitty
I usually do 20 push-ups...but the most I've done in a row(non-stop and in proper form) is 50.
Rich_2k3
I can do about 40 if I really push my self. I think its more about determination than anything, u need the willpower to keep going, on a good day u might do loads on another u might not feel like it, it all depends on ur determination to keep pumping those muscles ! TangSooGuy
I can do about 50 good ones, without cheating, with my face nearly touching the ground on each one, but after that, I'm beat, and my arms aren't much good for anything... most of the time though, I see people do "cheat" push-ups...frankly I'd rather see my students do ten good ones than 100 cheats.... aes
If I am not already tired out from other exercise like we do in warm up (especially the ones that tire out my lower back) I can do a bit over 40 proper pushups. I am struggling but I can do them. With the pretty heavy cardio etc stuff we do in day to day class I can only do about 15 in a row, but it depends. I try to push my self to not sacrifice technique in class so they will slowly improve over time. 43 Years oldBlue Belt (7th Kyu) Shorin-ryuRoberts Karate
