Icetuete Posted December 11, 2003 Posted December 11, 2003 does any1 have experiences with hand strenghteners? do they work? are they worth the price?

BladeLee Posted December 12, 2003 Posted December 12, 2003 Yes they do, but i would go with the Captain of Crush strengtheners. They come in 5 different levels and are great for crushing strenght. They can be found at... http://www6.mailordercentral.com/ironmind/ or just https://www.ironmind.com ~BladeLee~
SaiFightsMS Posted December 13, 2003 Posted December 13, 2003 Things like tennis balls can also be used as grippers.
MunkyBoy Posted December 13, 2003 Posted December 13, 2003 how does this work? inhowfar do they provide stronger hands? do you punch harder when using them? and inhowfar can you train with a tennis ball?
SaiFightsMS Posted December 13, 2003 Posted December 13, 2003 Improving the grip also usually helps strenghten the muscles of the forearm. Improving the wrist and forearm strenght would also improve the strenght of the punch.
MunkyBoy Posted December 13, 2003 Posted December 13, 2003 and in howfar can a tennis ball be a substitute? do you just take the ball in your hands an press together, let loose, press again, let it... etc??
Icetuete Posted December 23, 2003 Author Posted December 23, 2003 nobody ever used one of these...???
SaiFightsMS Posted December 23, 2003 Posted December 23, 2003 I have used a similar one. I have also used tennis balls, racket balls and the like.
Red J Posted December 23, 2003 Posted December 23, 2003 I think that those "grippers" are pretty cheap. You can squeeze and do reps or hold it. The same with the tennis balls. You can also use a bo staff and hold the end of it and swing it or wind a stick with a weight tied to it or...... You can do a lot of things that will give you a better grip. A better grip will help your grappling, seizing and control techniques. I had to lose my mind to come to my senses.
