Does anyone know what Furey's catch wrestling is like? He has a big instructional package on his website, if anyone's bought it give us your comments.

I have the tapes by Tony Cecchine and they are good. I haven't seen the Furey tapes but in general I don't like his books or articles in magz, he does too much name dropping for my taste. Get the Cecchine tapes.

yeah. I haven't heard much about him either way. The only time I hear something about him, it is him blowing his own horn.

Yeah, he's pretty in-your-face. Don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. But his products are very good.

He is a former Shuai Chiao champ, but is NOT a catch wrestler. He nuthugs Karl Gotch, but cannot be considered a Gotch protege or even a student.

 

He was TOYED with by a much smaller Joe Hurley when he stopped by the Lion's Den, and was reportedly INCREDIBLY out of shape. A guy who sells a book called Combat Conditioning? Out of Shape?

 

Perhaps he should try some of his own "Combat Conditioning" instead of making sure he has a new article in every issue of Grappling.
