Has anyone noticed how similar Bloodspor and Kickboxer are? List any similarities you see.

Both main characters are in some kind of fighting contest.

Both main characters have been trained by a small, unassuming little Asian man with a moustache.

Both main characters have a close male friend who is brutally injured by main baddie. (They both look on in horror, with a long cry of NOOOOOOO as the crushing strike is delivered. )

Both characters have a female love interest that they save from a bad situation.

Both male friends are injured because they overestimate thir abilities.

People bet money on the final fight between VD and the baddie.

There is a part in both movies where VD and his opponent take it in turns to kick each other in the ribs.

Vd hets a horrible beating in the final fights, before coming back with lots of spinning kicks.

Terrible haircuts throughout.

Both of the little Asian masters use ropes to stretch the VD characters' legs into a split.
