  2. Could anyone recommend some Martial Arts Books? Maybe something on Jeet Kune Do or other arts like Hapkido? Or just basic philosphy and theory? Anything that is interesting.. I would greatly appreciacte! -Arys
  3. One thing.. The 25 degree inwards thing is just like the Wing Chun stance which is where he derived it.... You point your toes inwards as well as your knees.. Your toes should be 25 degrees inwards and you should be like resting in the stance with your knees bent.. Your heels should be out as far as your shoulders go.. Feet: / \ <---- Thats how it should look
  4. Im tired of seeing that now.. I think we have to beat it again...
  5. um.. those stunts were his own.. I saw the behind the scenes thing.. He even taught Jen' Love to do Martial Arts.. Or at least helped her along.. Same that he had to learn to dance lol.. And, he coordinated all of the stunts and even if they are wire-fu they are stil pretty hard to pull off and look cool... You cant expect him to go Bruce Lee anymore.. Hes kinda old..
  6. Thanks for the warm welcome!
  7. Woah sweet thanks for the info' havent heard about it yet..
  8. Woah.. Didnt see Diamondick's post.. Yep... you've changed my point of view.. Even though I still think he wasnt te best in the world and a bit overestimated..
  9. Well, first of all I totally agree with LeaF... Bruce Lee wasnt as great a Martial Artist as we all think he was.. He was in great shape and all formed his own art (er.. more of a philosophy), but when you get deep into it when he went into the movie business he lost his first and main art, Wing Chun. Grand Master Yip Man cut him off after he tried to go back to him one day for the Grandmaster to teach him the last form and the end of the style. He offered Yip Man a house and money which greatly offended the GrandMaster. That is why he formed Jeet Kune Do to fill in the holes.. Maybe if he didnt go into the movie business and finished his style he would've actually been the best and then perfected the best with JKD... Ah... and if he was alive till' now he would just be another Jackie Chan and Jet Li.. sure they are popular but he became a legend by dieng the time that he did.. -Kuba P.S. If I got any of the info wrong correct me please?
  10. Forgot to say Hello! I just joined two days ago and so far I am looking for a good Martial Arts school.
  11. Ah yes.. And yes I will go around to check out the classes. THanks for clearing that up for me. And thanks everyone for pointing me in the righht direction.
  12. I've seen that before yet it gets funnier every time!
  13. Heya I will be attending Grandmaster Kwang Seek Hyun's school of Hapikido. I can't wait. I've heard great things about it and well, find it extremely interesting.. -Arys
  14. I see... Well I am kind of stucj between two of the arts.. Kyokushin Karate and Hapkido. I have a GrandMaster teaching at the Hapkido place by my house but I heard that it involves a GREAT deal of strength, does it? And the Kyokushin Karate plaec by my house seems sensible but the Masters son just died during training from exhaustion.. Im leaning towards Hapkido so far.
  15. I took Wing Chun for a month.. But ever since school started Ive decided its too far away (1 hour to get there and get back meaning I get back at 11PM which is a bit late also considering that my school is an hour away which meant no time for HomeWork). Now I have found a couple places around my house. I have two Kyokushin, Gen-Ki Karate, Judo, Shotokan, TKD, and a Hapkido dojo. I am really not sure which one to chose. Could you maybe help me out by listing some of their weaknesses and strengths? -Arys
  16. Alright sure will..
  17. I have a Gen-Ki Karate dojo by my house and it also says Kung-Fu.. When I went on the INternet to search for some information all the websites pointed to that one place or were part of their main website.. And, why would they say Gen-Ki Karate & Kung Fu.. It doesnt say that they teach them seperately.. Does anyone have any information on this style? I would like to find out more.
