Hey! I started kenpo karate class two weeks ago and I already really enjoy it. I assume I'll be browsing the forums more than actually posting, but I just wanted to say Hi anyways!

I'm new to this, and I was wondering what a normal time period there is between going up in the ranks? Does it vary between different types of martial arts?
