i'm 17, 18 in feb. i'm lovin it, but i'm at that stage where i'm gettin impatient, where you want to do all the things you can do at 18 but cant unless you like being labelled as a "kevin" or "perry". when i turn 18, im just gonna explode and live life to the full, not that i don't now, you just have more fun without parents being overprotective of thier "little" girl! me xxx (yeah...right)

well, at least when they are so expensive, it makes me take them more seriously! but there's also the cost of the training sessions, and transport costs! no wonder i'm so poor! :bawling: *sigh* well....iv'e got tax to look forward to aswell.... :bawling: me xxx -
by the way, i thought i was immune to what they say about how if you get one tattoo, you're bound to get more.... but i was wrong, i did promise myself i wouldn't get another one, but i just really wanted another one. I think it's probably the addrenaline rush before you get it done, and the thrill that you have "another" tattoo. for some people that's what its all about. but i hope i don't get any more, i think ive got enough now, besides, there's no where really that i could get one without it being too close to the others and clashing! try not to get one where you can see it all the time, that wasy if you do regret it later, no one has to see it. mexxx

well a tattoo on a girls foot may be sexy, (one of the reasons i got it there though.... ), but it was also v.v painfull. i personally don't like cartoony tattoos, they often look nothing like the cartoon character, and when colour fades it doesn't look very nice. my gecko is plain black, and at the moment the one on my foot is just an outline but i might be getting it shaded in with one simple colour (i wasn't sure so i left it- and it only cost £10 that way!). me x

i heard this on the local news lastnight; After a tip-off from one of their friends, two boys were caught just outside Derby yesterday adn taken into custody. one was drinking battery acid, and the other one was eating fireworks. after a short trial, they decided to charge the fist one, and let the second one off.

i think stuff like tae bo etc... is good because going to the gym is soooo boring sometimes im actually thinking of taking it up for more cardio vascular workout because i hate running! i dont mind sparring with guys, but i dont like the way that they sometimes hold back, because they dont want to hit you. sometimes my instructor tells them not to hit back at all so they can work on their defense, but then I dont get the defense workout. there are also hardly no other people (boys or girls) at my level to spar with. so i either have to hold back, or get no defense work.... i think i need to have a word with my instructor. whatever you do, have fun and get fit! me x

i am getting worried here.... should i stop wraping? ive done it scince i started to protect my wrists, and now im hearing that i should not wrap them and try to strengthen them? :???: personally i dont see the point as i am simply doing kickboxing because i enjoy it, it keeps me fit, its great stress relief AND i hope to fight in amature competitions soon. besides, i never get into fights and dont plan to, but if i did the bleeding knuckles would be a reminder not to get into fights. is there ever a situation in proffesional fights, where the contestants have bear knuckles then i think it is ok to strengthen them confused me x

Your Anger is a Gift....
defenestration_girl replied to Angus's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
what seems to be happening here is that talking about anger is making people angry, and the reason is simple. listen to other people's arguments and if you don't agree then fine, say so, but leave it at that, let people have their say or otherwise things may get out of hand. NO POINTLESS BICKERING PLEASE. I found that one good technique while training is to relaxe and not tense up. i found out that i work a lot better without shouting while kicking, which is a habit i picked up. it tenses your whole body up and hinders your speed and accuracy. also, try not to screw your face up etc.... this also makes you appear constipated. jus' me xxx -
well i wouldn't wory about it AT ALL. your balance is probably fine, but if you had a virus or a head cold, it can affect you balance. I had this virus once and it was just a stomach bug, but everytime i tried to stand up i felt like i was spining round and i just fell over. I usually have an off day about once a month, but this just means i tend to hit people alot harder! :kaioken: .....don't we all have days like that. me x
