  8. kung fu was founded by bodhidaram or in chinese da-mo. travled to the shaolin tempol in songshan mountain in the henan province. he stayed in the mountain to meditate for 9 years, at 76 he began teaching health arts like maditatinf to the monks. durring his time living in the monistary he realised that monks who meditated for many hours a day were in poor physcal condition. they couldn't preform the physcal tasks to maintain the monistary. and when attacked by bandits they couldnt defend them selves. so bodhidarma taught the monks 3 exercises to keep them strong and healthy. he showed them: Lohan Shi ba shou (18 hands of arhats) yi jin jing (book of changing tendons) xi shui jing (book of washing bone marrow) over time there were 3 martial artist that changed the course of kung fu. but i cant find them in my book right now so. they eventually created the 5 animal system. kung fu went from 18 movments to 128 for each of the 5 animals, hu xing(tiger), she xing(snake), he xing(crane), bao xing(panther), long xing(dragon). and that dosnt include monked kung fu, praying mantis, drunken kung fu. or long fist or half a dozen others SHORTDOG

  13. the beauty of kung fu is that there are styles for different people. the shaolin monks were taught one and they branched off and created new styles for their physcal abilities and their surroundings. snake is sofy attacks to vulnerable areas, eyes throat, pressure points, etc. tiger is strong kicks, punches, and gouges. crane is very artful and is more of a passive art, with sharp attack to vulnerabe spots. monkey i have no idea, but it is confuse your opponent and strike hard from akward positions like drunked boxing.
